Starting problem on a 1965 Tuxedo Park Mark IV?
My husband recently bought a 1965 Tuxedo Park Mark IV. It came with a small block and started fine the first couple of times we used it. It then died on him on the way to the gas station. We jumped it and it restarted. Got it home it sat for a day or two and then wouldn’t start again. We called the previous owner and he said just to keep the battery cable disconnected. Is this an alternator issue? Thoughts please as I am not a “car” person but want to be able to buy the appropriate part to fix it for my husbands birthday. Thanks!
Sounds more like a dead drain on the battery. could be a bad alt. or bad battery. Or the voltage Regulater. It should be checked by a mech. sorry I couldn’t be more help
